hm this trip back home has been so satisfying that it almost…scares me.

i havent been this contented in…so long. and that. is. horrifying. im back here in my very-comfortable comfort zone, flagging cabs, buying three pairs of shoes at a go, walking around town in shorts, having dinner out with friends, and it just feels like the days in York are so far removed. i love dining out in restaurants! and not having to congregate in dorm kitchens. i love the window shopping! and not the shops which close before dinner. i love being able to buy mee chiang kueh at 11pm! i love it that im pouring through the newspapers again, because i actually care about issues like the proposed ministers’ pay hikes. im loving almost everything, and that is a horrifying concept because it means im heading back to York with leaden feet.

damn. maybe its just because im a baby. there is a safety net back here, or at least it feels like there is one. whatever the case, i shouldnt be sabotaging this temporary state of contentment. haha im loving it (:
